According to the largest spirits competition in the world, this Columbus distillery has the best blended whiskey in the country

You don’t have to go very far to find the best blended whiskey in the country. 

In fact, you don’t even have to leave Columbus.

That’s because—for the second straight year—a High Bank Distillery Co. product won the prestigious Best Of Show award at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, an event billed as the oldest and largest spirits competition in the world.

This year, High Bank’s Whiskey War Barrel Select Double Double Oaked took home Best Of Show in the Blended Whiskey category. Last year, the distillery’s Whiskey War Barrel Proof won Best Blended Whiskey.

“It’s unheard of for a distillery to win two years in a row, let alone a smaller, local distillery from Columbus, Ohio,” Blue said. “The competition brings in over 5,000 spirits from around the world and only the best are recognized as “Best Of Class” in their category.” 

According to the distillery, this year’s Blended Whiskey category alone saw more than 1,000 entries.
