Gatto’s Pizza is officially back.

The long-standing Clintonville pizzeria—which first opened at 2928 N. High St. in 1952– officially reopens for business today in its new location (for pickup and delivery only currently), the former home of McCarthy’s Wildflower Cafe.

The new Gatto’s Pizza storefront is located at 3420 Indianola Ave.

Wildflower Cafe operated at this location for two decades before closing for good late last year. Gatto’s announced its plans to take over the space on Feb. 28.

Gatto’s has eschewed its well-known marquee signage for a more streamlined option at its new location. The interior of the new storefront retains the iconic black and white checkerboard-patterned floor that was a well-known part of Wildflower Cafe.

The pizzeria will be open 4-10 p.m. from Sunday through Thursday, and 4-11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
