After opening this summer, food vendor closes up shop in North Market Downtown

While Saddleberk—the unique combination butcher shop, restaurant and marketplace—remains open in North Market Bridge Park, its recently-opened location in the North Market Downtown has closed.

The concept launched its North Market Downtown vendor space over the summer. A Saddleberk representative confirmed the closing, but it’s currently unclear what prompted the move.

The spot for a variety of farm-raised Berkshire pork cuts and more initially opened its retail operations at North Market Bridge Park in the fall of 2021. The eatery also offers a variety of simple but elevated sandwiches that are made to order.

Saddleberk initially replaced Penny’s Meats in the North Market Downtown, another artisan butcher shop concept that closed earlier this year.
