Al’s Delicious Popcorn announces new Columbus-area location
One long-standing Columbus business is popping up in Pickerington for the first time ever.
Over the weekend, Al’s Delicious Popcorn announced its plans to add a fourth storefront, as it has taken over the home of Fat Baby’s Popcorn, which is located at 1211 Hill Rd.
“It’s always wonderful to see a product you believe in loved by so many. We are thrilled that customer demand is driving us to to open locations throughout Ohio,” said Jan Baird, co-owner of Al’s Delicious Popcorn. “We will continue to make the most delicious gourmet popcorn around and place locations near as many loyal customers as possible.”

Al’s, the popular gourmet popcorn spot that has been operating since launching its first store on Bethel Road in 1985, will now operate the new Pickerington location, its original shop, one in Hilliard and another in Cincinnati, which officially opened earlier this year. Al’s is the official gourmet popcorn sponsor of the Cinncinati Reds.
According to Baird, the new location is slated to open over Labor Day weekend. It will continue to operate under the Fat Baby’s name until this happens.
“Over the next few months we will be transforming the space to reflect our company and our popcorn,” Al’s social media statement reads. “We are so grateful to have this opportunity to share our popcorn into the Pickerington community and closer to Al’s Popcorn lovers on the East Side of Columbus.”
