Authentic spot for cheesesteak, Philly-style Italian ice coming to Gahanna this spring
Easton regulars will likely know the name Marlow’s Cheesesteaks, the cheesesteak and Philly-style Italian Ice (called “water ice”) food truck that has been serving the area since last May.
And now, Marlow’s has found a permanent home just outside of Easton.
The eatery, run by Philly transplants Jomar and Shanika Sheppard, have just signed a lease to take over a downtown Gahanna restaurant space. The exact address will be released by Marlow’s shortly.

The new eatery is slated to hold its grand opening in April.
“We’re super excited, we’ll have a permanent home so people will be able to have access to cheesesteaks six days a week,” said Shanika Sheppard.
The location, which features an 1,100 square foot dining and bar area in addition to a spacious outdoor patio, will be a combination of the duo’s two ventures, Marlow’s Cheesesteaks and The Water Ice Shoppe, although it will be known as Marlow’s Cheesesteaks.
According to Jomar Sheppard, the new space will also allow the new spot to get creative with their offerings.
“We’re going to be offering water ice infused with alcohol, since we have a liquor license at the new location,” he said.
