Columbus-area brewery hosting a festival for “alternative sports” like coin flipping, staring contests and more

Step aside, baseball, America has a new pastime.

While this might be a bit of an exaggeration, Ill Mannered Brewing Co. is introducing us to the weird but wonderful world of alternative sports with an equally off-kilter festival planned for later this month.

On April 30, the brewery—located at 38 Grace Dr. in Powell–will be hosting The Ill Mannered Alternative Sports Extravaganza Palooza.

The event will feature bracketed competition in “alternative sports” like staring contests, coin flipping, number guessing and more. “It’s gonna be a fierce competition with lots of laughter and silliness,” promotional material for the festival reads, “Prizes will be awarded.”

Tickets, which cost $30 per person, can be purchased here. Ticket purchases include a limited edition Ill Mannered Alternative Sports Extravaganza Palooza shirt, a half liter beer stein and one free fill of the stein.
