Columbus bartender and author of “Punk Rock & Cocktails” teams up with local distillery to release new rum line

Columbus bartender turned author Jesse Hubbard was featured in (614) Magazine last year to discuss his unique hit book that pairs iconic punk albums with cocktail recipes. And now, it’s more than just cocktails that he’s creating.

Hubbard and his event company Saint Russell Productions teamed up with local distillery 451 Spirits to create Rag & Bone, a brand-new coffee rum.

“People who know me know I always have a cup of coffee in my hand, so we felt like this was the right direction to go in,” Hubbard said.

Made with Thunderkiss Coffee, Rag & Bone will debut at a special release event, which will take place on Aug. 27 at Natalie’s Grandview. Fitting for the punk rock-focused author, a handful of bands will take the stage at the event as well, including Palette Knife, She Bears, Danson and Coxey’s Army.

Hubbard and Chad Kessler of 451 Spirits will be present to sign bottles at the event. The event will also feature a variety of local vendors and a pop-up art show. Rag & Bone will hit store shelves locally following the release.
