Following eviction notice, suspension from tax commissioner, Dublin restaurant closes its doors

Following a temporary closure, an eatery has shuttered for good, at least at its former Sawmill Road home.

Noodle Topia has closed its only restaurant, located at 7541 Sawmill Rd. in Dublin. All of the eatery’s signage has been removed from the storefront, and a “For Lease” sign is now on display in the front window.

An eviction notice dated Nov. 1 is posted on its front door. Additionally, a letter from the building’s property management group that states the locks were changed is also on the door.

“I have been advised by our Property Management division that the above referenced premises has been vacated and that the security alarm has been going off disrupting neighboring tenants,” the letter reads. “I have therefore authorized Property Management to immediately change the locks, disable the alarm, and take back possession of the leased premises to safeguard our realty.”

Noodle Topia owners could not be reached for comment. It’s currently unclear if the eatery plans to open at a new location or not.

A suspension notice from the Ohio Tax Commissioner appeared on the front door of Noodle Topia in October, stating that Noodle Topia is unable to make retail sales at 7541 Sawmill Rd. in Dublin on or after Oct. 14 of this year.

This sign initially appeared alongside a handwritten note from the restaurant that read “temporarily closed.” The handwritten sign has been removed, along with any other Noodle Topia signage.

According to Franklin County Court of Common Pleas records, a civil case was previously filed against the restaurant’s LLC, Noodlz OH LLC by the Ohio Department of Taxation.
