Former House Wine owner opens new speciality wine shop

A new speciality wine shop has replaced a former takeaway beverage spot in Linworth.

Aardvark Beer & Wine, a new wine shop owned by former House Wine owner Donnie Austin and partner Megan Cavanaigh, officially opened its doors for business earlier this month.

The store is located at 2355 W. Dublin-Granville Rd., in the former home of JT’s Grab & Go.

The former Grab & Go spot was previously operated by JT’s Pizza & Pub, but according to Austin, the pizzeria sold it to him and Cavanaigh so they could focus on their eatery.

“This agreement will allow JT’s leadership and our team to focus on our core business and what we do best for our customers while Donnie will bring his passion and knowledge for wine and beer to share with the area,” JT’s Pizza & Pub owner Joe Hartnett said in the press release. “This is a win for everybody involved.”

The new storefront will offer a variety of difficult to source wines, but Austin said he plans to focus on accessibility, offering the majority of bottles for under $30.
