From getting hypnotized to meeting a 9 foot tall robot, here’s what to do the Franklin County Fair

Is it really summer without a fair? Kicking off on July 22, The Franklin County Fair features the requisite cotton candy and ferris wheel plus a diverse array of activities. Read on for five things to do that are free with admission:

  1. Pet some animals: Channel your inner Snow White with a visit to the Livestock Barn Petting Zoo.
  2. Get hypnotized: Catch “The Magic of David Anthony,” featuring street magic and hypnosis, at 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. July 18, 29, and 21; 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. July 20, 22, and 23; and 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. July 24.
  3. Celebrate Family Fun Day: Take the kids out July 20 and try your luck at escape rooms, putt putt golf, eating contests, and more.
  4. See some sick stunts: The Ninja Experience features the best of parkour, tae kwon do, and ninja warrior-style moves. Just promise us you won’t try it at home.
  5. Meet a tall robot and his tiny truck sidekick: If the kids are getting grumpy, take them to visit Max Power, a 9-foot walking, talking, dancing robot. Max doesn’t go anywhere without Nitro, his mini monster truck buddy.
