Galla Park Steak releases update after car crashes into restaurant
After a car crashed into Galla Park Steak Wednesday evening, the Short North restaurant is currently in the process of picking up the pieces.
This morning, Galla Park released a statement to its social media accounts to keep patrons up to date on what’s in store for the restaurant in the near future.
The Short North Steakhouse–located at 900 N. High St.–noted that no staff members or guests were seriously injured in the incident, which occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, two hours after opening.

For now, according to the statement, The Short North steakhouse will be closed while it rebuilds. Galla Park has boarded up the two glass panels that were broken in the crash. The restaurant is also attempting to find other employment avenues for its workers in the meantime.
“At this time we are working diligently to develop a course of action to rebuild, and to find smooth employment transfer for staffing,” the statement reads.
Galla Park did confirm its plans to eventually reopen as well, although it’s currently unclear when this will happen.
“While this will all be a work in progress Galla Park will be back soon better than ever,” the statement reads.
