Grove City man advances to final round of Food Network series; Find out who won here

Editor’s Note: This story contains spoilers for season 3 of Food Network’s “Outrageous Pumpkins.”

Brian “Tator” Edwards did more than make Central Ohio proud during his appearance as a contestant on Season 3 of Food Network’s “Outrageous Pumpkin”:

He almost won the dang thing.

Edwards, who told 614Now last month that he had previously interviewed for the show, began as one of seven “Outrageous Pumpkin” contestants, each one of the country’s best pumpkin-sculptors.

Last Sunday, Oct. 23, Edwards was one of one two remaining contestants ready to square off on the grand finale of the four-episode show, against Pennsylvania-based artist Eric Jones.

While Edwards lost to Jones, but second place against some of the best in the world isn’t anything to scoff, and he said the show was an important experience for him regardless of outcome.

“The show was a blast to be on and I loved it! I gained a lot of lifetime friends, and it’s always fun competing,” Edwards told 614Now. “Plus meeting the Host Sunny Anderson from Food Network’s ‘The Kitchen,’ and Judges Terri Hardin, who is a legend, and the Amazing Paul Dever with Carvers & Creators was great!”
