It’s only fitting to report some important taco-related news during Columbus Taco Week (which runs until June 11).

The popular national taco chain Torchy’s Tacos has announced that it will open its first Columbus brick and mortar restaurant later this month, although an exact date hasn’t been announced.

Torchy’s Tacos will be located at 1478 Gemini Pl. The Austin, Texas-based chain will also be opening a location on the city’s Northwest side later this year as well.

Torchy’s briefly had a presence in Columbus when it opened a ghost kitchen in the Columbus Food Hall on Essex Avenue in the spring of 2021. The ghost kitchen has since closed.

“We are so excited to let you all know that next month we will be opening our very first Columbus brick & mortar location up,” a statement posted to Torchy’s social media accounts in late May reads. “This location will be offering a full menu, breakfast tacos, all day & full bar with our fresh margaritas.”
