Birria lovers will have to find an eatery other than Martha’s Fusion Kitchen for the time being.

The ultra-popular taco spot has been planning an interior remodel for nearly a year, and that process is about to kick off. In a statement posted to its Facebook account, Martha’s announced that the closure will go into effect after service today.

Martha’s Fusion Kitchen is located at 3331 Maize Rd.

“It is with a lot of happiness and a lot of sadness to let you know that we will be closed for a little bit—maybe a month, maybe two months or more,” the statement reads. “We will be working on renovating the place. This is a project that we have been working on for about a year.”

In an interview earlier this year, co-owner Jose Zacatelco said the remodel aims to boost the dine-in experience for customers. The project will double the size of Martha’s grill, which should drastically reduce wait times for food. It will also see the addition of several more tables for dine-in customers and an on-site bar.
