After seven years, Lineage Brewing is calling it quits.

The Clintonville brewery, which is located at 2971 N. High St., announced this morning that it will be shuttering for good.

The last day of service at Lineage will be April 24.

“We are forever grateful for our amazing customers and fantastic staff who have been with us throughout our journey. Words cannot describe the outpouring of love and generosity this community has shown our business and our employees and we thank you,” a statement posted to the brewery’s social media accounts reads. “We made this difficult decision in order to focus on our families and other future endeavors.”

And while the move means the end of an era for Lineage, it will also usher in a new beginning for a different local brewery. According to the statement from Lineage, Combustion Brewery will open a second location in the former Lineage space.

Combustion is currently located in Pickerington, and it’s unclear when they will open in Clintonville. The brewery has already created an Instagram accountant for its new location.
