Dublin has welcomed an exciting sandwich chain and bakery to its ranks, and just like the Central Ohio municipality, the restaurant is named after a famous European city.

Paris Banh Mi Buckeyes opened its doors to the public on Nov. 11.

Located at 6195 Sawmill Rd., the new restaurant is only the second Ohio location of the Orlando-based company Paris Banh Mi. The other is located in West Chester Township, north of Cinncinati.

For those not familiar with it, the banh mi is a sandwich made by combining a unique style of baguette with a variety of Vietnamese proteins and toppings. According to Paris Banh Mi, the sandwich rose to popularity in the 1950s as a street food staple in Saigon.

The new Dublin eatery offers a wide variety of banh mi sandwiches, using pork, shredded chicken, paté and more. The sandwiches are served on a traditional baguette, in addition to bun rolls and even croissants . The Florida-based concept also offers a number of authentic French pastries and boba drinks.
