New Clintonville bakery announces grand opening date

We recently caught wind that Suga Pie’s—a popular online bakery that was previously only available via online orders and the occasional pop-up—is set to open its first brick and mortar location in Clintonville.

And now, we have a grand opening date.

Suga Pie’s announced over the weekend that it will be officially open its doors on March 4. This will be Suga Pie’s first brick and mortar location.

The bakery will be moving into The Pit BBQ Grille’s Clintonville restaurant, located at 4219 N. High St., where the two concepts will share space.  Both Columbus eateries have previously collaborated as well, with The Pitt selling Suga Pie’s banana pudding from its Clintonville and North Market Bridge Park locations.

“You can come get the best BBQ in Columbus, and now the best dessert too. It’s like icing on the cake,” said The Pitt co-owner D’Andre Martin about the partnership. “It’s something that helps her growth and helps ours, so it was a no-brainer.”

Martin said both concepts will share the same ordering space, but a separate menu for Suga Pie’s will be created.
