New spot for gyro, falafel now open in Discovery District

Weeks after the Discovery District saw the opening of the anticipated Way Down Yonder Beignets & Coffee, another new restaurant has opened, and it’s right across the street.

Pita Grill, a casual Mediterranean restaurant, held its grand opening on March 4.

The new eatery is located at 443 E. Main St.

Patrons can eat in or order for takeout or delivery via Grubhub. Pita Grill is open 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. seven days a week.

Diners can opt for lighter options falafel or baba ganoush, in addition to entrees such as lamb shanks or gyros served with lamb, chicken and even shrimp.

Pita Grill replaces the Oodles Noodle & Dumpling Bar, which closed late last year. Shortly after, Oodles closed its only remaining Columbus storefront as well, located at 765 Neil Ave.
