New spot for poke, bento boxes opens downtown

When one poke-related door closes, another one opens.

While Poke Bros., the fast-casual poke eatery, has closed its location at 100 E. Gay St., another new poke concept has opened in its place.

Poke Bunny held its grand opening at the downtown storefront last month.

While both concepts focus on poke bowls, the two differ in several other significant ways. Unlike Poke Bros., which is a chain, Poke Bunny operates only a single location. Additionally, the new downtown restaurant also offers bento boxes, noodle soups, milk tea and smoothies.

The eatery offers space for dine-in patrons, in addition to delivery from Grub Hub and DoorDash. Uber Eats, Chowvus and Fantuanwill be added soon as delivery options as well.

Poke Bunny is open Monday through Saturday,  from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. The restaurant is closed on Sunday.
