Earlier this year, the long-standing Whitehall spot for pho and more, Indochine Cafe, closed as ownership changed hands.

And now after several months of renovation and behind the scenes work, the spot has held has reopened with brand new offerings and a sleek new look.

Now known as Racha Tea, the eatery focuses primarily on selling a wide variety of specialty bubble teas, Vietnamese coffee, and banh mi sandwiches.

Racha Tea is located at 561 S. Hamilton Rd.

“Overall it’s been really exciting to know we’re back up and running, after being closed down,” said co-owner Sopa Phettaphong. “We love seeing all of the customers who were supporting us when we were Indochine, and we love being able to show them all the hard work we’ve put in here.”

According to Phettaphong, Racha Tea launched its soft opening earlier this week, and will hold a grand opening on May 11.

Patrons can opt for speciality drinks like Fruitea Peebles or Sweet N’ Salty, a sparkling Vietnamese salt plum lemonade, or one of the new eatery’s bahn mi-inspired sandwiches, which feature everything from BBQ pork to meatballs.
