New York-inspired breakfast kitchen coming to Worthington

Jack McLaughlin

You don’t have to travel all the way to New York City to get a true bodega-style breakfast, because Big Apple Breakfast Co. is coming to Worthington.

The new spot for breakfast, brunch and lunch spot shares a storefront with Pizza Primo, which is located at 202 E. Long St.

Big Apple Breakfast Co. has already launched its soft opening, and will hold its grand opening on Dec. 5.

Fans of the hugely-popular Youtube channel The Ocky Way–featuring a corner store owner serving up indulgent sandwiches using a giant on-site griddle–will see similarities in the new Worthington eatery. A video posted to its Instagram account depicts a variety of proteins sizzling on a flat-top grill.

Big Apple Breakfast Co. will serve up several different breakfast items, each one inspired by New York City. The Bodega contains a jumbo egg, your choice of meat and American cheese served on a kaiser roll, and The Corner Store contains chicken strips and waffles served with powdered sugar, cream cheese and syrup.

You can see the entire menu here, and a variety of sides are also available.
