Popular Columbus taco spot opening new location today

That was fast.

The popular Columbus taco restaurant Los Guachos Taqueria announced on April 9 its plans to take over the former SuperChef’s location at 1344 Cherry Bottom Rd. in Gahanna. Yesterday evening, the concept surprised us by announcing its new location will be opening today.

In a unique move, Los Guachos and SuperChef’s–both located on Cherry Bottom Rd. in Gahanna–agreed to swap restaurant locations. The former Los Guachos restaurant, located at 1376 Cherry Bottom Rd., closed for the move earlier this month.

According to Los Guachos General Manager Edith Nonato, the new space will offer the Gahanna taco spot a location that’s nearly double the size.

“In the new location there will be more space for the comfort of our clients, with a full bar and an open patio for the days of summer,” Nonato said. “The new location has 2,817 square feet, the patio has 650 square feet. The previous location had 1,500 square feet.”
