The local barbecue eatery Barrel & Boar has had an active year so far, and there’s still plentty more to come.

Tomorrow, the restaurant’s new BBQ Factory location will hold its official grand re-opening celebration at the space.

Located at 1217 S. broad St. in Lancaster, the space was formerly home to The Smoked Food Factory.

According to Barrel & Board owner Stan Riley, the location was purchased last year, and has been open in some capacity since–both for diners and as a catering service–but this weekend marks the first time it will open in full.

What’s more, the event, which will include a ribbon cutting ceremony, will also mark the beginning of Barrel & Boar’s new Backyard Smoke-off series. The smoke-off, which will focus on a different protein in each iteration, will see amateur pit-masters compete every week for the rest of the summer.
