Popular mini-donut vendor opening in North Market Downtown

Jack McLaughlin

While the North Market lost one beloved donut vendor when Destination Donuts stepped away to launch its first-ever standalone storefront in Clintonville, another unique donut vendor is set to take its place.

Say hello to Dodo Donuts.

Dodo donuts began as a food truck last May, and has slowly built a following since offering its unique brand of miniature donuts in a wide variety of rotating flavors.

“From the very beginning we had hoped Dodo would find a home at the North Market,” said owner Ciara Auddino Barnum in a press release. “Moving into such an iconic Columbus landmark among so many amazing vendors feels surreal to say the least! We are very excited to bring our unique mini donuts to the market.”

Served hot, Dodo Donuts relies on real, seasonal ingredients and its own line of house-made sugar blends and glazes.

The new donut shop will occupy the former Destination Donuts space in the southwest section of the North Market.

“I have been following the success of the Dodo trailer and am thrilled to welcome them to the Market,” said Rick Harrison Wolfe, North Market’s Executive Director and CEO in a press release. “Ciara operates her business with the spirit of community, which we look for and value at North Market. Dodo Donuts will make a wonderful addition to the merchant mix downtown. I can’t wait for our guests to taste the fresh, piping hot mini donuts this spring!”
