Short North bar and restaurant calls it quits

Jack McLaughlin

Less than six months after reopening, the Short North bar and tasting room DeVine Tastings & Dining has closed its doors for good.

DeVine Tastings & Dining was located at 958 N. High St.

According to a statement posted to the bar and restaurant’s website, the concept shuttered due to COVID-related staffing issues. The statement says Devine is working with potential new owners who would take over the space with a new concept.

The High Street business initially opened in the fall of 2020, before temporarily closing due to COVID-19 for over a year. The concept then reopened in March of this year.

Previously focusing on wine, DeVine Tasting & Dinings pivoted following its March reopening with a new focus on craft cocktails. It also served brunch and lunch, in addition to fusion dishes like its baklava pancakes.
