The city’s anticipated alcohol free-bar has pushed back its opening date
The buzz circling around the open of the city’s only dedicated alcohol-free bar will have to cool down for just a bit.
That’s because The Dry Mill has announced it will be pushing back its grand opening date, which was set for Feb. 5.
“We had a few setbacks this week that are out of our control and will unfortunately have to push our Opening Day to a later date,” owners Colin Thomas and Dave Payne said in a statement posted to the bar’s social media accounts. “These are just minor speedbumps! We are assembling a great team and are fully focused on opening our doors to you as soon as possible.”

Currently, Thomas and Payne haven’t released an updated opening date.
Located downtown at 79 S. 4th St., The Dry Mill generated immediate attention after announcing they would be opening the city’s only alcohol-free bar. The anticipated new spot will offer coffee, alcohol-free cocktails, and non-alcoholic beer, with several options from local craft brewery BrewDog.
