This Columbus confectioner is offering a new, half-pound Buckeye for Easter

The Buckeye Lady is most likely creating the largest buckeye you’ve ever seen in your life.

That’s because, this Easter, the popular Columbus treat vendor is creating a seasonal Buckeye that tops the scales at one-half of a pound.

To put this into perspective, with the average weight of  most regular buckeye hovering around one ounce, this means the treat is just under ten times the size of a standard buckeye.

The seasonal offering, which is on sale now, contains chocolate ganache and is topped with festive Easter sprinkles in addition to a chocolate drizzle.

“Our half pound buckeye was a happy accident. We had some leftover dough and an employee decided to roll it into a one large buckeye, and it turned out so cute,” said owner Alicia Hindman. “It marries the two Easter classics, a peanut butter egg and a chocolate bunny, while still holding true to the quintessential symbol of Ohio—a classic buckeye candy.”
