This historic Columbus-area pizzeria is struggling, but here’s how you can help
Vick’s Gourmet Pizza has been serving Columbus and Reynoldsburg diners for more than sixty years, but the long-standing Central Ohio eatery is currently facing some serious hurdles.
This week, the eatery—which is located at 7345 E. Main St. in Reynoldsburg—posted a statement to its Facebook page detailing how area construction is posing a serious threat to the business.
“As most of you know, Main Street has been under construction and has a long road ahead. We are experiencing an unbelievable loss in business and so are most restaurants and businesses on Main Street,” the statement reads. “Just as we are finally catching our breath and making it to the end [of other business-related hurdles], we have the largest dip in sales we have ever experienced.”

The statement, which is accompanied by an image that reads “We need you,” was posted on April 24. And while the tone of the post is bleak, Vick’s does also offer a list of what patrons can do to help.
The pizzeria mentions the importance of overlooking imperfections in service or product shortages at restaurants currently, as well as how critical patronizing a wide variety of other local businesses is to boost the area as a whole.
Vick’s also notes that opting for a delivery order is one way to support the pizzeria that sidesteps road construction issues.
“We want to be here and we will always keep fighting,” the statement reads. “We are in this together.”
