Anticipated Short North restaurant with live-fire grill opening this week

It’s time to light those FYRs.

On Oct. 14, the highly-anticipated eatery within the new Columbus Hilton Downtown Tower, FYR, will open its doors. Reservations can be made here.

Named in part for the live-fire grill that will be used to prepare many menu items, the new restaurant will serve as the cornerstone of the new hotel tower’s dining experience.

The Columbus Hilton Downtown Tower will also be home to a 28th-floor rooftop bar, a cocktail lounge known as Spark (which will be located directly above FYR) and a grab-and-go marketplace.

“FYR will have a live fire with grill works, a pizza oven and a lot of activity,” said the tower’s General Manager Christian Coffin in an interview earlier this year. “We think it will be a staple on High St. and an attraction for Columbus diners, not just hotel guests.”

The new restaurant offers both a breakfast and dinner menu, with a variety of steaks, chicken and shrimp dishes, and even an entire menu section dedicated to items prepared on FYR’s wood-burning oven.
