Aangan India Bistro has closed its doors. For now, at least.

The restaurant has shuttered its location at 7520 High Cross Blvd., in Crosswoods. According to an Aangan representative, however, the eatery is hoping to relocate. It is considering locations on Sawmill Road or in the Grandview area, and is aiming to reopen in the next six months.

“Thank you. For showering Aangan India Bistro with your endless support throughout all the fun and sometimes tough times,” the statement reads. “We are in the midst of relocating. Please keep checking back for updates.”

The eatery was opened by restaurateur Lakhvir Singh, who also served as Aangan’s executive chef. Singh owned and operated the Indian eatery Amul for over 15 years, before selling it and launching Aangan in 2019.

The spacious Aangan India Bistro was located in the former home of Encore Nightclub.
