Just weeks after talkshow appearance, Hilliard sandwich shop abruptly closes
What seemed to be a Columbus-area hotspot for sandwiches has closed its doors with little warning.
Hoagie City, a ‘Philadelphia style deli’ located at 3870 Main St. in Hilliard, has closed, according to a statement posted to the eatery’s Facebook page. It’s unclear when the restaurant closed.
“With heavy hearts we have decided to close our deli. We truly appreciate the love and support shown to us by our loyal customers and Hilliard,” the statement reads. “The rising cost of food and labor as well as inconsistent sales were more than a small mom and pop could overcome.”
