A long-standing Dublin business is preparing to close its doors for good.

Extravagifts, the versatile gift store that has served its community for more than 16 years, could be shuttered before the new year.

The store is located at 24 N. High St. in Dublin.

According to a statement from Extravagifts owner Michele Alvarez, the store is preparing to close in several weeks, although an exact date hasn’t been announced.

The statement didn’t detail why the store is closing, but it did express gratitude to customers and neighboring businesses

“It has been such a pleasure to know you all and collaborate within such an amazing Dublin community. Thank you for helping to make Extravagifts what it is today,” Alvarez said.

The store will be offering a 70 percent off sale to liquidate remaining merchandise.
