LA-inspired street taco restaurant now open

You don’t have to jet over to the west coast to grab authentic Los Angeles-style street food tacos anymore, because Cali Tacos has officially opened its doors.

The eatery, which is located at 1111 Hill Rd. in Pickerington, held a soft opening late last month.

“Our food is West Coast-inspired, but everything is also home-cooked; we’re a from-scratch kitchen,” owner Felipe Cruz told 614Now in an interview earlier this year.

According to Cruz, items like Carne Asada Fries, Street Tacos, dessert churros and LA Dip–which includes, queso, pico de gallo, crab and shrimp–will be featured, alongside much more.

Located inside the former home of Hot Head Burritos, Cali Tacos will offer carryout in addition to space for dine-in customers, with more than 20 in-house tables. The eatery’s interior boasts black booths with bright-red seating, and a variety of unique mural-style wall art pieces.
