Build your own charcuterie board for local opossums and other critters this weekend!
Turns out, even opossums love charcuterie boards.
This Saturday, July 29th, The Ohio Wildlife Center is hosting an event called “Charcuterie for the Critters,” where families can help the staff prepare little food boards for the animals they serve.
Their Facebook event says, “You will pick your favorite two animals from the list of four we will have and build your own ‘charcuterie board’ for the animals based on their specific diets! You and your family will learn what different species of animals eat, what certain species can’t eat, how feeding wild animals the wrong foods can cause unintentional harm, and how to peacefully coexist with our wild friends.”

Opossums will meet and greet guests as well! Families will be able to watch them munch on charcuterie boards. “Weather permitting, we will also take a tour to meet our other outside ambassadors,” says their Facebook post.
Not only will families enjoy a hands-on experience with local wildlife, but this event helps alleviate the Ohio Wildlife Center staff and volunteers during this busy season, mentioned the OWC.
The cost is $20 per family up to four, and $5 per extra member. They mentioned that spots are very limited, so make sure to sign up for a spot. This event will take place at 9000 Dublin Rd, Powell, OH.
