Get up close and personal with hundreds of butterflies at this new Franklin Park Conservatory event

Jack McLaughlin

In less than one month, Franklin Park Conservatory will be teeming with butterflies in all varieties of shape, size and color.

And you’re invited.

The Conservatory’s annual Blooms & Butterflies event will run from Feb. 25-May 29. Located in the Pacific Island Water Garden on the Conservatory’s first floor, the immersive event will allow visitors to interact with a sea of butterflies as they flutter about, feeding on nectar from the lush, tropical flora.

BROUGHT TO YOU BY

According to the Franklin Park Conservatory, butterflies involved in the exhibit receive nutrition and care allowing most to live longer than they typically would in the wild.

Admission to Blooms & Butterflies is free with general admission. As butterflies are more active during daylight hours, it’s best to try seeing them between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., according to Franklin Park Conservatory.
