This dog-focused Columbus festivals invites you and your canine friends to join thousands of other dogs

Not only are dogs very much allowed at this year’s iteration of WAG! Fest, they’re the stars of the show.

The event, which is free and family-friendly, will take place on Sept. 26 in the Darby Bend Lakes area of Prairie Oaks Metro Park, which is located at 2755 Amity Rd. in Hilliard.

Each yeah, thousands of dogs attend with their human counterparts, enjoying a stroll through a park, swimming in Darby Bend Lake, or taking in the multitude of on-site pet product vendors and live entertainment.

Food trucks will be available throughout the day as well, and your four-legged friends can participate in a series of dog-friendly contests, including a doggie fashion show at the event’s Take-a-Bow Stage.

WAG! Fest is slated to bring together more than 12,000 people and 4,000 dogs, and the event also helps to connects dog rescue groups with potential adopters.

Other pets outside of dogs should are not allowed at the festival.
