Trade in some toys for some free tater tots this weekend!

Sav McKee

Accidentally order two of the same items for Christmas via Amazon and don’t feel like returning it? Or, maybe you still have toys laying around, unopened from Christmas’ and birthdays past? We have a perfect solution.

Trade the toys in for some…tater tots. Yes, you read that right. Free tots.

Weenie Wonder, a local hotdog joint that’s Chipotle-style, where you can choose your own dog toppings, is hosting a “Toys for Tots” event, where you can bring in a new toy item for donation to their Dublin or Easton location, and in exchange, you’ll get a free side of tots! All toys will be donated to Nationwide Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Items that CAN be accepted:

  • New items only
  • Stuffed Animals & Plush Toys with tags intact
  • Children’s books
  • Educational toys
  • Games

Items that CANNOT be accepted:

  • Used items (even if gently used)
  • Plush items without the tags
  • Inappropriate books (too scary, too mature, religious content, controversial, political, etc.)
  • Clothing items

BROUGHT TO YOU BY

Weenie Wonder, located at 4117 Worth Ave, Unit WW Columbus, OH and 6562 Riverside Drive Dublin, OH, is accepting donations until December 10th, so it sounds like a perfect excuse to skip the cooking and opt for hotdogs and tots. If you don’t eat pork, they also have veggie dogs, and coming from personal experience, my 7 year old nephew had no idea he was even eating vegetables.

Note: Limit one free side of tots per customer per visit, despite the number of items donated.
