Popular chain of wholesale stores and Costco competitor announces grand opening date of new Columbus-area store
Bj’s Wholesale was out of the Columbus market for two decades, but the chain is wasting little time growing its footprint in central Ohio.
The newest BJ’s storefront in the Columbus area is set to open its doors on Dec. 15. It will be located at 8425 Orange Center Dr. in Lewis Center.
Similar to other membership-based stores like Costco and Sam’s Club, BJ’s is a warehouse-style wholesale store where customers can save by purchasing a wide variety of items in bulk. The Lewis Center BJ’s will also offer an on-site gas station, a deli and more.

BJ’s originally operated two Columbus-area locations that closed in 2002. The chain returned to central Ohio with a New Albany store in late 2022.
