Zoombezi Bay offering ‘Sensory-Friendly’ night on Friday, Aug. 25th

Sav McKee

It’s often easy for kids to become overstimulated and overwhelmed in large crowds, loud music, and a lot of noise in general.

Zoombezi Bay recognizes that not all children thrive in those types of environments, so they’re offering a “Quiet After Hours” event on August 25th, from 5pm to 9pm.

During this time, guests can enjoy the attractions of the waterpark, but just in a less stimulating environment. The park will be quieter, without added background noise like loud music and announcements.

These after-hours events include select attractions, rides, and food and beverage options, sensory kits (for $10 extra) with noise-canceling headphones, sunglasses, and fidget devices, and calming areas for individuals who may benefit from a quiet space for self-regulation. Please keep in mind that some noises, like whistle blows for safety reasons, will still be in place.

Tickets are $16.99 per general guest admission and free for Season Pass Holders. The number of tickets are limited, so please pre-register here.

If you can’t make it to this event, no worries — another Quiet Hours event will be held at the Columbus Zoo on October 1st from 10am-5pm.
