After more than a decade of performing around Cbus, comedy group opening permanent space

Soon, there will be another option for a fun night out in Columbus – one that involves crying, but from laughing so hard.

Hashtag Comedy, a Columbus based improv comedy group, announced about a week ago that they acquired a space at 1253 North High Street in the Short North. “We couldn’t be more excited to host some of the city’s best improv, sketch and stand up, plus classes and more in our new space,” their instagram post reads.

Their new club, in a cozy, exposed-brick space, has a pending liquor license application so that patrons can enjoy a cocktail with some comedy, too.

Hashtag Comedy has been putting on shows throughout Columbus for the past decade, partnering with local bars and establishments to bring some comedic relief to the Cbus community, even in the darkest of times, and we’re thrilled that they’ve found a space to call their own.

Join their grand opening on Thursday, November 9th, featuring an improv show from 7:30-9, then on Friday, November 10th, for a comedy variety show, starting at 7:30pm. After that, there will be an open mic comedy opportunity too, from 9:30-11:00pm. Doors open at 7, and you can buy your tickets here!
