After “bedazzled” toilet plunger stolen, this central Ohio brewery is holding a plunger pageant to find its replacement

While many have qualms with pageant culture, I think we can all agree that a toilet plunger pageant is something we can get behind.

After its own bedazzled toilet plunger was stolen recently, Walking Distance Brewing Co. in Marysville will be holding its very own #PlungerPagaent to find a replacement.

“After the loss of our beloved bedazzled plunger we decided we need a replacement! What better way to find one than a #PlungerPageant,” an event description reads. “Decorate, bedazzle, make your plunger pretty and bring it in August 5th from 7-10PM! We select the prettiest plungers and crown one of them to be #PrettyPlunger2023! We highly recommend dressing up to best model your plunger!”

Walking Distance owner Teddy Valinski noted that those who can’t make the official pageant can also submit photos of their plunger in swimwear by July 28 (tagged with #PrettyPlunger2023 and/or #PlungerPageant). Some entries will be selected to be part of a fan vote, and the winner will receive a prize.

To make sure no plungers are stolen in the future, Valinski said, the brewery is “putting up increased security.” This way, plunger parents can sleep easy at night.
