The Polaris area already boasts one popular golf concept in Topgolf, and now it’s getting a brand-new mini golf counterpart.

Billed as the world’s first “upscale tech-infused mini golf experience,” the concept plans to bring four competitive and tech heavy nine-hole mini golf courses to its Polaris location. It will implement the brand’s patented Trackaball technology, which means your account and game data will auto-sync with your ball every time you play.

Puttshack will be located at 2116 Ikea Way, inside The Galaxy Polaris. At 25,000 square feet, the space will span two different floors and is slated to include a sizable outdoor patio. This will be the concept’s first Ohio location.

“The Columbus area is a dynamic, thriving, sports-centric community with more than 50 colleges and universities, making it one of the largest concentrations of students and young adults in the U.S.,” Puttshack CEO Joe Vrankin said in a press release. “Establishing Puttshack in Columbus as part of our expansion plan in the Midwest was a no-brainer. Columbus is home to a large community of young people – many staying after graduation – and Puttshack’s tech-infused mini golf is a high-energy social activity with unrivaled globally inspired food and drink offerings. We’re excited to bring competitive socializing to central Ohio.”

Puttshack, which will also offer craft cocktails and “globally-inspired” cuisine, is slated to open its first Columbus location in late 2024.
