Author of iconic ‘Goosebumps’ book series holding ‘rare’ signing at Columbus-area bookstore

R.L. Stine is coming to the Columbus area.

On Oct. 22, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Stine, the prolific author of the young adult horror books series Goosebumps, will visit Gramercy Books in Bexley. Gramercy is located at 2424 E. Main St.

Stine, who was born in Columbus, grew up in Bexley and attended Bexley High School.

Billed as a “rare and intimate event,” the signing will be first come, first served, and the store’s capacity is limited to 70 individuals.

According to Gramercy, the central Ohio native will only be signing his four most recent books, including Stinetinglers #2: 10 MORE Stories by the Master of Scary Tales, Stinetinglers: All New Stories by the Master of Scary Tales, Goosebumps House of Shivers #1 and Slime Doesn’t Pay

All three titles are currently available, except for Slime Doesn’t Pay, which will be published Sept. 26. According to the bookstore, Stine will only signs titles purchased at Gramercy the day of the event.
