12 different Pennsylvania breweries poke fun at Brutus & release “Buckeye Tears” beer

Penn State is expecting to drink up the tears of The Buckeyes and their fans on October 21st.

“We are excited to share that we are teaming with twelve Pennsylvania breweries, all owned by alumni of Penn State University, to release a new beer called “Buckeye Tears” in honor of the rivalry with fellow Big 10 school, the Ohio State Buckeyes,” said the association, Pennsylvania Breweries.

The beer features Brutus, the OSU mascot, crying large, cartoon tears, with Penn State fans cheering in the foreground. But, “Obviously, no harm is meant, we just think ‘Buckeye Tears’ is the perfect name for a beer that will honor Penn State heading to the National Championship in 2023! No one in Ohio wants to see that,” said Pennsylvania Breweries.

While we can all appreciate some manifestation and optimism, Penn State hasn’t been able to defeat OSU since 2016. So, it looks like they’ll be drinking the sweat from the Buckeyes’ hard work instead of their tears!

If you find yourself in Pennsylvania in October, here’s where you can grab a can:
