In 2023, Mexican-fare took over as America’s favorite cuisine, beating out the longstanding favorite pizzas and pastas found in Italian food, according to data from Datassential.

During the Mexican Revolution, refugees from Mexico introduced Mexican-fare, such as tacos and tamales, to Americans. And now, with Mexican culture being so intertwined in American culture, it’s no wonder that their vibrant, spicy, food topped with fresh herbs is the current favorite in our country.
