It’s been a long time coming for this popular BBQ eatery.

In 2011, Smitty’s BBQ established themselves at festivals and pop-ups, then rebranded as a mobile food truck and catering business from 2012 until, well, a couple of weeks ago.

Fast forward to October of 2023, and Smitty’s found a more permanent, brick + mortar home at 2864 N. High St., located inside of High Street Kitchens. They officially opened October 1st, serving their Arkansas-inspired fare, such as smoked brisket and pulled pork sandwiches, along with sides like cornbread, mac & cheese, coleslaw, and baked beans.

They’re still waiting to announce a grand opening, but until then, you can find all of the above-mentioned items on their current, “soft opening” menu.

Carryout is available, and so is a delivery option through Uber Eats if you’re now hankering for an Arkansas Melt (brisket, caramelized onions, melted cheese, BBQ sauce, all on Texas Toast). They’re open Wednesday through Friday, 2pm-10:30pm, Saturdays 2pm-2am, and Sundays 2pm-9:30pm. You can place an order here!
