After shooting death of owner, Grandview-area Restaurant has temporarily closed; future “unsure”
Two nights ago, Rudy’s Food & Drinks closed its doors to the public following the death of owner Rudy Tirado-Gonzalez, and it’s possible the Grandview-area spot will not open them again.
Yesterday, a Rudy’s representative updated 614Now on the status of the restaurant and bar. Rudy’s Food & Drinks will be closed “until further notice.”
Nothing has been formally decided about the long-term future of the restaurant and bar at this time. The Rudy’s representative told (614)Now that Rudy’s team is “unsure for now,” about the future of the concept.

The Grandview-area spot also posted to its social media accounts for the first time since Tirado-Gonzalez was killed late Monday night.
“Forever in our hearts, you did a great job watching over all of us while you were here, it’s comforting knowing you’re our guardian angel now. We love you Ru,” the post reads. It asks for patrons and friends to comment their favorites Rudy’s memories.
