Shortly after discovering her body, officers on the scene witnessed “a large pig” step onto Rigney’s property. Police were told the animal belonged to the victim’s neighbor (just one house north of hers), where they later found two pigs, which were both quarantined.
The responding officer noted that the pig “had been in the scene and may have contributed to the injuries to the deceased.” The case is still under investigation, and no one has currently been charged with a crime.
