Anticipated family-owned smash burger concept holding grand opening this week

An anticipated smash burger spot is opening its doors in just a few days.

According to a post made its social media accounts, Smash Shack Burger Co. will officially open its doors on Sept. 6 at 11 a.m.

The new eatery is located at 81 Lake St., in Delaware.

Smash Shack is located in a developing section of Delaware, situated just east of the city’s Downtown Sandusky Street District. 

Before announcing a grand opening, Smash Shack had been operating as a weekend pop-up inside of the Sand Bar Station, the former Delaware Food Truck Depot that’s located across the street from the eatery.

Diners can expect smash burgers, all-beef hot dogs and chili cheese dogs, chicken wings and waffle fries.

Parking is limited at the new smash burger eatery, and patrons are encouraged to order ahead online. They’re open Tuesday through Sunday, from 11am-8pm.
