Schmidt’s Sausage Haus hosted a high-profile guest over the weekend, but it’s apparently nothing new for the German Village spot.

In a brief video clip posted by Schmidt’s neighbor, The Red Stable, over the weekend, Schwarzenegger can be seen exiting Schmidt’s Sausage Haus alongside a sizable group, before hopping into a black SUV.

Schwarzenegger was in town over the weekend for The Arnold Sports Festival, which was held March 2-5.

And while it’s exciting to see celebrities patronizing Columbus eateries, this is far from the first time the former bodybuilder, actor and California Governor has stopped by Schmidt’s.

According to Schmidt’s brand manager Matt Schmidt–who confirmed Arnold’s stop at the eatery this weekend–the international celebrity has made a habit out of stopping by the long-standing restaurant whenever he’s in town.

“We always love when Arnold comes in. He has been coming to the restaurant ever since he was Governor,” Schmidt said. Schwarzenegger served as California’s Governor between 2003 and 2011.

Whenever he patronizes the eatery, Schmidt added, Arnold always sits in the same section of the restaurant’s dining room, and the eatery has officially dubbed that space as “The Governor’s Room.”
